Robotic-Assisted Surgery

Smaller incisions, less blood loss, shorter length of recovery and hospital stay – with new robotic technology in our operating rooms, less can really mean more for some patients.

At Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, we're committed to providing innovative, safe, and high-quality surgical care through robotic-assisted knee replacement surgery. Robotic surgery, or robotic-assisted surgery, can allow surgeons the ability to perform complex procedures with added precision, flexibility, and control.

What's in it for you?

Because robotic surgery allows for smaller incisions and provides your doctor with unparalleled precision during an operation, many patients experience less pain, shortened recovery times and fewer complications.

How does it work?

Using a 3D image, the surgeon can see and measure the actual dimensions of the patient's joint and surrounding tissue. The surgeon then programs a surgical plan directly into the robotic technology, working through procedural adjustments, considerations, and alterations in a virtual setting before any incision is made. During surgery, the surgeon guides the robotic arm through this pre-defined program with full control to make adjustments, as needed.

Our specially trained orthopaedic surgeons use robotic technology to personalize the approach to total knee replacement, providing a solution that works for you and your unique anatomy.
